Event Overview
Our theme for this year’s conference is Unifying Concepts, and we chose that for a reason.
All too often, gynecologists, urologists, and general surgeons work in a vacuum with respect to the efforts and methods of their colleagues. Whether we’re talking about our tools, techniques, processes, or patients, we can all learn from our colleagues using minimally invasive skills in their respective fields. If our proper goal is to provide the very best and most effective patient care possible, then we need to draw upon the experience of everyone involved in minimally invasive surgery, regardless of specialty.
And that’s what we hope to accomplish during this conference. While in session, we would like you to step back from your daily routines and take the time for a broader look at how we train, communicate and, in the end, treat our patients. Our intention is to expose you to the very latest in cross learning techniques, medical best practices, and surgical technology, right down to the very instruments you use during your various procedures.
We want this time to be well spent – it should engage you, challenge you – even inspire you. We have designed the agenda to be interactive, fluid, and heavier on action than talk. You will have the opportunity to partake in case studies, real-time video coverage of actual surgical procedures, small-group seminars, and even a little down time to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding areas with your colleagues and families.
So take some time to look over the agenda, choose a few topics that intrigue you, and plot your own course through the conference. When you are finally ready to head home on Sunday, we think you’ll be a better doctor for having participated.
